UNIOSUN PROBES STUDENT DEATH AND ANNOUNCES MAJOR OVERHAUL OF CAMPUS HEALTH SERVICES

Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has launched a full investigation into the death of a student and simultaneously announced a comprehensive overhaul of its campus health services.

The development follows the tragic passing of the student, which has sparked outrage and questions about the quality and responsiveness of medical care available to students on campus.

According to university authorities, the student fell ill and was reportedly taken to the campus health centre for treatment. The student later died, prompting widespread concern among students and parents about possible delays, inadequate facilities, or poor emergency response protocols.

In response, the university management has set up a committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death while pledging immediate reforms to strengthen the university’s health infrastructure and services.
