Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has received full accreditation for 29 academic programmes following a recent assessment by the relevant national accreditation body in Nigeria.

The approval confirms that the affected courses meet the required academic and operational standards for teaching, staffing, and facilities.

The accredited programmes cut across several faculties, covering disciplines in the sciences, social sciences, management, and other professional fields offered by the institution.

University authorities said the development reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen academic quality, improve learning conditions, and maintain standards across departments.

The accreditation also means students currently enrolled in the approved programmes will continue their studies with full recognition of their certificates upon graduation.

Education regulators in Nigeria routinely conduct programme evaluations to ensure universities maintain minimum benchmarks for curriculum delivery, staffing levels, and infrastructure.

UNIOSUN described the outcome as a positive step in its mission to expand access to quality higher education and improve its academic reputation nationally.

The university said it will continue working to sustain and expand accreditation coverage for all its academic offerings.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
