UNITED NIGERIA AIRLINES GAINS AFRAA FULL MEMBERSHIP STATUS
United Nigeria Airlines has been granted full membership status by the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), marking a significant milestone in its growth as a major player in the continent’s aviation industry.
The recognition, announced during AFRAA’s recent general assembly, acknowledges the airline’s commitment to safety standards, operational excellence, and contribution to regional connectivity. United Nigeria Airlines’ Managing Director, Captain Obed Nnaji, expressed delight at the development, describing it as validation of the carrier’s rapid progress since its inception.
“This full membership opens new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnerships across Africa. We are committed to raising the bar in service delivery and supporting the growth of intra-African air travel,” Nnaji said.
AFRAA officials praised United Nigeria Airlines for its adherence to international best practices and its role in expanding air links within the region. The membership is expected to facilitate greater integration into continental aviation initiatives and policy dialogues.
The development comes as Nigeria’s aviation sector continues to attract investments and expand routes, positioning the country as a key hub for air travel in West Africa.
