Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed recent criticism regarding his on-screen romantic scenes with married female colleagues, including his co-star Bambam in Love In Every Word.

In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, Arukwe explained that he always seeks the consent of his female co-stars, particularly those who are married, before engaging in any intimate or suggestive scenes.

“I make sure to ask my co-lead if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones, because I don’t want them to face problems at home,” he said.

Arukwe also clarified that he had never met Bambam or had any relationship with her prior to their first project together.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
