Nollywood has been thrown into mourning once again as popular actor Ibrahim Chatta announced the passing of his son.

The 54-year-old actor shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram page on Saturday, posting a photo of his late son alongside an emotional tribute.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ,” he wrote.

Chatta did not reveal details about what led to his son’s death, but his colleagues and fans have flooded his page with prayers and words of comfort.

The tragedy comes just days after another veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola, lost her only son, Ayomikun Oluwanisola, sparking grief within the film industry. Actress Biola Adebayo described Ogunmola’s loss as “devastating and heartbreaking,” while calling for prayers for the grieving family.

The Nollywood community has rallied around both families, offering condolences and support during this painful period.
