Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to publish the maps, coordinates and legal records supporting disputed ward arrangements in Warri Federal Constituency, Delta State.

The group said questions surrounding the uploaded delineation data required transparent answers to protect public confidence and peaceful coexistence.

In a statement, its National Public Relations Officer, Gbubemi Ejesi, challenged the geographical and administrative basis for several locations listed within Warri South Local Government Area.

The group raised concerns about the Ewein wards and alleged that some coordinates were inaccurate or assigned to the wrong administrative areas.

It also questioned reports that polling units in Ubeji had been placed under Ugbuwangue Ward, while units associated with Orere in the Omadino/Obodo area had been moved to Bowen Ward.

UIY urged INEC to release previous and current polling-unit registers, explain its methodology and correct any errors established through verification.

The statement also raised territorial claims concerning Okere, Pessu and other disputed locations. Those claims represent the group’s position and were not independently established in the report.

UIY stressed that an individual’s ethnic origin or political affiliation did not, by itself, prove electoral wrongdoing. It said the central issue was whether the boundaries and polling-unit assignments had a lawful, verifiable basis.

The group pledged to pursue its objections through peaceful advocacy, documentary evidence and constitutional channels.

The supplied report did not include INEC’s response or the views of other affected communities.
