WE DON’T NEED PROPAGANDA, OUR PROJECTS ARE ENOUGH – MINISTER WIKE
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has told his allies they do not need to engage in electoral malpractice to win the upcoming Area Council elections in Abuja.
Speaking on Tuesday during the commissioning of a new road linking Idu to Zuba, Wike said his administration’s achievements would serve as the best campaign strategy.
The commissioning was part of events marking President Bola Tinubu’s second year in office and was carried out by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, who represented the President.
Wike stated that the opposition lacks tangible achievements to present to voters, unlike his team who can point to completed projects like roads, bus terminals, and schools.
He said:
“For those contesting in the Area Council elections, I wonder what message they’ll take to the people.
“But for our allies, they have visible results to showcase. So there’s no need to waste resources.
“Our work is already doing the talking—it’s the real rigging.
“When you provide what the people want, that’s all that matters. To my friends, we will go out and show the people the roads, the schools, and the terminals.”
