Veteran Yoruba actor Lalude has publicly expressed his disappointment over unmet promises following his support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the 2023 general elections.

In a viral video making rounds on social media, Lalude called out the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), MC Oluomo, accusing him of failing to fulfill the promises made to him and other entertainers who actively campaigned for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Lalude claimed that he and several of his colleagues—who were mobilized by MC Oluomo—dedicated over a month of their time to campaign activities, but received no compensation afterward.

“My colleagues and I campaigned for President Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, yet we didn’t receive a single kobo after the elections,” he said.

“We abandoned our jobs for a month and three weeks just to support them. MC Oluomo brought us together for the campaign and told Alapini and me to name our demands. We did—but he never fulfilled any of them.”

The visibly upset actor concluded with a strong statement, declaring that a curse would follow anyone withholding the promised rewards.
