Comedian Basketmouth has questioned why some Nigerians post their luxury cars and mansions on social media, asking whose approval they hope to gain.

In a post shared on Monday, October 26, he wondered whether such displays were aimed at wealthy people who might own more expensive possessions or people who could only admire them from afar.

He also questioned spending billions on supercars that owners may struggle to drive comfortably on Lagos roads.

Using humour to make his point, Basketmouth asked whether their garages served as racetracks, while highlighting worsening potholes and flooding.

The comedian argued that wealth does not need public attention or constant displays to prove its value.
