Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Umeh has shed light on why her colleague, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, is known for avoiding kissing and romantic roles in movies.

Speaking on the Where Is The Lie podcast, Umeh revealed that Chioma’s decision stems from her strict Catholic upbringing.

“Chioma Chukwuka was brought up in a very Catholic home. She doesn’t accept kissing or romantic roles in movies. I’m saying this out of experience. She was a legionary. She has been a good girl,” Umeh said.

However, her statement has sparked conversations among fans, as Chioma has, in fact, played romantic roles in Nollywood. In the recent film Seven Doors, she shared an on-screen kiss with actor Femi Adebayo, showing that she has occasionally bent her long-standing principle.
