WIKE WINS BIG AS PDP ACCEPTS HIS TERMS
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has agreed to the demands of former Rivers State governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in a bid to unite the party before the 2027 elections.
Party sources say the leadership has accepted to zone the presidential ticket to the South, appoint Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, and follow the South-South and South-East zoning rules.
“This is all Wike wanted. Now there’s no reason for him to fight the party,” a source said.
The move comes as Wike’s former G5 group of governors has dropped to just three members, reducing his political backing. Still, he remains a major force in the South-South and South-East.
With these concessions, PDP hopes to end internal fights and focus on winning in 2027.
