WOMAN CHARGED FOR FABRICATING OWNERSHIP OF N200M DUPLEX
A 32-year-old woman, Loveth Helen Alo, has been brought before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court for allegedly falsely claiming ownership of a five-bedroom duplex situated in WTC Estate, Enugu.
According to a statement from SP Daniel Ndukwe, spokesperson for the Enugu State Police Command, detectives from the Legal Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department arrested Alo on February 1, 2025, following a petition that accused her of misrepresenting her ownership of the property.
Alo had testified at the Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos that she was blessed by God with the acquisition of the duplex. However, upon interrogation, she admitted to fabricating the claim and confessed to acting independently.
Ndukwe noted that Alo faces five charges, including obtaining by false pretenses with intent to defraud, defamation of character, and attempting to commit a felony related to selling the alleged property.
She has been granted bail, and the case has been adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further proceedings.
