Hundreds of women staged a protest at the offices of the House of Representatives in Abia State, demanding increased political representation and appointments.

The demonstrators, including civil society groups and women activists, argued that women continue to be underrepresented in politics and called on lawmakers to create more opportunities for female participation.

Placards displayed during the protest bore messages such as “Equal Seats for Women” and “Women Deserve Political Appointments.” Security officials were deployed to maintain order, and party representatives promised to relay the demands to relevant authorities.
