Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has presented brand new vehicles to the 17 local government chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The vehicles were handed over on Monday at the party’s state secretariat in Damaturu, where the Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, represented the governor.

During the presentation, Buni urged the chairmen to make proper use of the vehicles and remain committed to promoting the party’s programmes and activities across their respective local government areas.

Speaking at the event, Gubana emphasised the need for unity within the party, cautioning the chairmen against actions capable of creating division among members.

According to him, the vehicles were provided to support their official duties and enhance the party’s grassroots engagement.

The APC state chairman, Muhammad Gadaka, expressed appreciation to the governor for the gesture and encouraged the beneficiaries to reciprocate by demonstrating loyalty and dedication to the party.

In addition to the vehicles, the governor also donated Sallah clothing materials and wrappers to 37 members of the party’s state executive committee. The Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, further supported the initiative with a donation of ₦2 million to assist with fuel expenses for the vehicles.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
