The much-talked-about altercation between Big Soso and Dede on Big Brother Naija Season 10, which took place on August 24, 2025, has taken another turn following Big Soso’s recent interview on Yup Weekly Tea with host Princess.

Big Soso, who was evicted alongside fellow housemates Ivatar and Doris, gave fresh insight into the conflict during a trending YouTube interview aired on Saturday. She explained that her frustrations with Dede stemmed from feelings of neglect and what she perceived as self-centered behavior.

The tension began when Dede jokingly referred to housemates Kola, Koyin, and Jason Jae as her “three fishes.” Big Soso, who considered them “her boys,” took the remark personally. What started as playful banter quickly escalated into a heated exchange filled with accusations and insults.

According to Big Soso, the issue ran deeper than the “fish” comment. She recalled repeated instances where Dede refused to help her in the kitchen despite being assigned to assist.

“One thing you need to understand is that the kitchen is a safe place in the house. For someone who loves to cook, you put all your emotions into it… There’s a joy in it. Even if people are upset with you, once they eat, everybody’s happy,” she explained.

She added that Dede’s refusal to help on multiple occasions left her feeling unsupported. Eventually, with encouragement from Dede’s friend Mide, she decided to confront her directly.

“I told her, ‘I feel like you’re not supportive or a team player. You put yourself first, and I don’t like that. Can you try to be more inclusive?’ She responded defensively, admitting she’s a selfish person, and that’s when things escalated,” Big Soso said.

Reflecting on the outburst, Big Soso admitted her words may have been too harsh. “Some of the things I said were strong. I apologised—not to be friends, but because the words came out too heavy.”

She wrapped up by stressing that true beauty is more than appearances.

“Beauty isn’t just about makeup and shining… It’s about character. If I don’t see that in you, I’ll advise you, and if you don’t want to listen, then that’s it.”

The clash, described as one of the season’s most explosive moments, highlighted deeper issues of teamwork, respect, and selfishness in the house.
