Interim Forfeiture

IN THE HIGH COURT OF THE FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY
ABUJA JUDICIAL DIVISION
HOLDEN AT APO

MOTION NO: FCT/HC/M/1513/2025

BETWEEN:

ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION (EFCC)
AND

E. E. IHEANACHO

COURT ORDER

Upon hearing the motion for an interim forfeiture order and after reviewing the evidence presented, the court finds merit in the application.

PRAYER GRANTED BY THE COURT:

The Applicant, EFCC, sought an Interim Order for the forfeiture of certain properties suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities, located in specified areas within Kyami District, Abuja. The properties are subject to forfeiture pending further investigation or a final court ruling.

Additionally, the court ordered that a public notice of this forfeiture be published in a widely circulated national newspaper. This allows any interested parties, including rightful owners, to come forward and provide justification for why the properties should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This order was granted and signed by the presiding judge on the 3rd of March, 2025.
